Well, ladies and gentlemen… We’ve made it. Today (more or less) marks the first anniversary of our transition from using Google AdSense, to monetizing a case study domain with premium ads from Ezoic. It began as a case study to see how much more it could earn you. 12 months ago, September 2020, was the last time we would ever rely solely on AdSense. Back then, it only earned us roughly $177.
But in the following months, we’ve seen Ezoic monetize the daylight out of our case study site. In October 2020, it jumped to $606, before rising again to $961 in November. As 2021 dawned, we finally broke the four-digit barrier, earning $1,032 in ad revenue by February. By May, we had steadily gained to around $1,678. That was before an even larger upwards surge was noted back in June, at $5,636.
July then saw us netting ad revenue worth $5,396, and another $5,831 in August. As we round off September 2021, we documented a new all-time high, as Ezoic’s premium ads earned over $6,957. What a stunning year it has been, truly. Granted, some of that sweet ad money came from Google through Ezoic’s clever mediation tools, automating monetization between itself and AdSense.
Traffic was on an up-and-up trajectory as well, with improvements across the board. Throughout September, our site recorded over 182,000 visits and more than 209,000 pageviews. Among them, there were just over 131,000 ‘engaged’ pageviews, belonging to visitors who had spent valuable time on our site. As such, we naturally saw a higher ePMV (earnings per thousand visitors) of $38.12.
Key Figures
Looking into the analytics and data, there’s still plenty of great progress to enjoy. For instance, and barring the first and last days of September, every single day saw daily ad earnings of at least $200. This is astonishing, given that just a few months ago, we’d be over the moon with just $50. All that cash hasn’t gone down the drain, however. We’re steadily reinvesting it into making more content.
In particular, SEO-focused articles, which we plan on writing at least 100 of them every month. It’s a key part of continuity, which is certainly something you’ll have to dedicate to if you want to maintain growth on your website. In short, write better content, get more traffic, earn higher ad revenue. As a whole, September’s been a good month for us, as things are slowly improving as time passes.

Furthermore, we could definitely say that Ezoic, having worked closely with them over this past year, works wonders at optimizing and maximizing ad revenue. I mean, they even have a guarantee which promises that you’ll earn at least 25% more in ad earnings… Or, they’ll pay the difference. Plus, they don’t just work with larger sites, but even smaller blogs with hundreds of visits are all welcomed.
If you’re keen on extending that relationship even further, Ezoic also has its premium program. It simply can’t lose you any money, despite the high upfront cost. In essence, that’ll allow your site to attract big-name advertisers, which in turn, nets you even juicier ad revenue. If you’re using AdSense or a familiar premium network like AdThrive or Mediavine, it’s well worth switching over to Ezoic.
