I’m pretty new to dealing with ads and want to be able to fully understand all the fine details. How have you found the reporting side of things with Ezoic? It seems quite comprehensive from the case study (nice work btw) but have you found it missing any key info that would be offered by any competitiors etc?
I am actually a big fan of their reporting tool. They call it Big Data Analytics (BDA for short). It is basically a spin of Google Analytics but optimised for publishers of content websites rather than a generic tool for all website owners.
The one main advantage that I love about Big Data Analytics is that it includes all your ad revenue data. So you can see what articles are getting lots of traffic, but you can also see exactly how one article is earning over a period of time and how much that type of content is worth. This helps guide you with content decisions going forward. i.e if the content of a certain topic earns well, why not create more content around that topic etc.
Another good tool in Big Data Analytics, you can see content without earnings, this helps you identify if there are problems on certain URLs that is getting traffic but not earning. This gives you good visibility to fix issues and help increase your earnings.
Lastly, all the data can be exported to Google Sheets, Excel or CSV, this means you can export the data and build your own spreadsheets to really crunch down further on the data as you like.
